Rock County GOP: Rock County Republican Candidates Call for Return to Free-Market Principles in Job Creation

(Janesville, WI)-Republican candidates in Rock County are making job creation a key issue in their campaigns, and are advocating free market principles to create and retain jobs in the Rock County area.

Rock County Republican candidates are participating in a new monthly feature on the Rock County GOP website which provides a forum for candidates to address important issues facing voters in the Rock County area. This month’s feature is on job creation, and candidates were asked how they will bring jobs to their districts. Their responses are posted on the Rock GOP website.

Rock County unemployment is at 11%, making it the only metropolitan statistical area in Wisconsin with double-digit unemployment.  Among Wisconsin cities, Beloit continues to have the highest rate at 16.8%. Janesville unemployment is at 11.3%.
