Representative-elect Joe Knilans Announces Committee Assignments
(Janesville) -- Representative-Elect Joe Knilans from the 44th Assembly District, recently received his committee assignments for the upcoming Legislative Session. Representative-Elect Knilans will be part of the Transportation Committee, Jobs, the Economy & Small Business Committee and will serve as the Vice-Chair of the Public Health and Public Safety Committee for the upcoming 2011 – 2012 legislative session.
“I am very excited to have been assigned to these committees, as I feel they will all benefit my constituents in Janesville.” Knilans said. “The top priority in Janesville is jobs and being part of the committees that are most associated with job creation will allow me to best represent my constituents.”
Knilans continued, “I am also very honored to have been selected as Vice-Chairman of the Assembly Public Health and Public Safety Committee. I look forward to working with local and state officials to ensure the residents of communities are safe.”
Knilans’ assignment to the Assembly Transportation Committee will allow for his continued advocacy for the I-90/39 widening project.
“I believe the I-90/39 widening project is vital to improving the safety on I-90/39 corridor, while at the same time, will help bring new businesses and jobs back our area,” stated Knilans. “I am also excited about bringing my experience from Janesville to the Assembly Jobs, the Economy & Small Business Committee because of the positive impact it can have on our local economy.”
Knilans concluded, “I am looking forward to being part of these committees and getting started right away on the priorities for our community and state.”
