Theron pledges to repeal and replace ObamaCare
Peter Theron, candidate for the Wisconsin 2nd Congressional District, reacted to the recent Obama administration admission that ObamaCare will not "bend the cost curve down", but will in fact increase health-care costs. Theron stated,"Throughout the health-care debate, liberal claims that it would take less money to cover more people were obvious fantasy. It is good to see the Obama administration acknowledging this reality."
"This official validation of cost objections to ObamaCare confirms the wisdom and foresight of my signing the Club for Growth Repeal It pledge. In signing I pledged 'to sponsor and support legislation to repeal any federal health care takeover passed in 2010, and replace it with real reforms that lower health care costs without growing government.' "My pledge has been accepted by Club for Growth and appears on their 'Repeal It' website." Theron continued.
"One real reform to our current system of employer-provided health insurance is the high-deductible nationwide major-medical policy coupled with a health-savings account. A high deductible translates into lower premiums. Nationwide availability allows consumers to move to another state and take their health insurance with them. With the associated health-savings account consumers save to pay for both minor medical needs and the deductible should a major medical need arise." Theron said.
"Expanding the availability and portability of health-saving accounts would give consumers more health-insurance options and give our economy more flexibility in providing health insurance. With a health-savings account, consumers will be able to pay directly for more of their health care. When consumers pay directly for any service, the cost and quality of the service improves and the consumer is more satisfied." Theron concluded.
